Sahil Patwa

I started my career as a strategy consultant at BCG after completing my engineering from IIT Bombay and a management degree from IIM Ahmedabad. In the five years that I spent there advising clients on digital transformations, I learned how hard it is to drive adoption of even the best tools and technologies. At the same time, I also realised that the work I was doing was severely lagging behind the cutting-edge of technological innovation. This led me to join Swiggy, an Indian food-delivery decacorn, to build a new grocery q-commerce business. While helping to scale the business to 300+ cities and through multiple pivots, I wore several hats across strategy, sales, product, operations and developed a deep appreciation for the journey towards finding product-market-fit. I also witnessed how technology startups are revolutionising every aspect of how modern organisations hire, build, operate and grow. Taking these learnings with me, I started engaging with several startups and accelerators globally. Feeling extremely positive about the European tech-ecosystem, I moved to London to immerse myself in this amazing community while pursuing an MBA at London Business School. Along with the MBA, I also spent seven months as a VC at Picus Capital. At Picus, I was investing in and supporting founders in their effort to build top-notch teams and products and to raise additional capital to fuel their growth. I joined Moonfire Ventures out of excitement for the team’s focus on the European Ecosystem and because of the vision to leverage data & ML to support early-stage founders in their journey. I look forward to partnering with amazing founders across Europe and working hard to help them achieve their vision.
